When I was little I used to read at night just like I do now but I remember having the coolest thing. I used to have a portable light that I attached to my book so I could read and hide under the covers pretending I was in a tent of course. Now that I’m older the idea of the portable light for my books is cute but not sufficient. The batteries always died too quickly on those. I was desperate to find a lamp that seemed appropriate for my style and interest.

Recently, I have discovered I have more time on my hands and I have been fortunate enough to throw myself back into old hobbies like scrap booking. About six months ago I purchased a new lamp because a friend told me I would notice a huge difference in my work if I bought a lamp specific to crafts. The idea sounded kind of ridiculous. I love that the Ott-Lite Task Lamp is portable because I enjoy spreading my pictures, scissors, glue, stickers and everything else across my living room floor in order to have optimal space. The portable light is able to shine in every direction and I can move it to shine at any object no matter how dispersed they all are. The most amazing quality of the Task lamp is its ability to bend and retract. This not only allows me to change the way the light hits a certain picture or object but I can control how much light I want to shine on a photo.

My husband and I just got through redecorating our house. Our two sons are both in College now so we had some extra space and some remodeling to do.
